Mostly polish and reliability this time. The state-sync problems that kept biting during live sessions are fixed, sessions can finally be deleted, and a lot of the interface got quieter.

Session Management

You can now delete sessions

Sessions you no longer need can be deleted from the dashboard. Click the trash can icon on any session card. Deleted sessions stick around for 30 days in case you change your mind, then they're permanently removed.

The dashboard now adapts to your role

If you created a session, you'll see management controls. If you're just a participant, you get a simplified view focused on joining and resuming. You always know which sessions are yours to edit.

Smoother Reconnections

No more stale state after reconnecting

Someone reconnecting during a phase transition (moving from voting to discussion, say) used to land on an outdated view. Now you rejoin with the current state, no refresh needed.

Offline presenters can jump right back in

If you were selected as presenter while offline, you can now start presenting as soon as you reconnect. Previously someone had to manually re-select you.

Better handling for disconnected participants

Facilitators can now select disconnected participants as presenters. The system tracks connection state properly and lets you proceed even when someone temporarily drops out.

Visual Polish & Accessibility

Whiteboard notes are now easier to read

Black text was landing on dark note backgrounds, which made some notes nearly unreadable. Notes now pick their text color based on how dark the background is, meeting WCAG AA contrast.

More breathing room on the whiteboard

Column spacing has been tightened to make better use of horizontal space, especially on smaller screens. The note palette is softer too, so groups still separate visually without the contrast shouting at you.

The discussion sidebar now gets out of your way

The discussion view on the whiteboard can collapse when you need more room for notes. Useful once a group has collected enough topics that the fixed panel eats half the screen.

Simpler Interface

Cleaner navigation everywhere

Menus and session progress indicators have been simplified. The interface now stays on the active stage instead of surrounding it with things you aren't using yet.

Voting, grouping, and discussion stages got simpler

All three stages got a decluttering pass. Redundant buttons are gone, controls are consolidated, and the primary action is easier to spot. The voting stage in particular has cleaner circular vote buttons.

Better for Participants

Clearer presentation controls

It's now obvious when you're presenting versus just watching, with better visual cues and instructions. This one came up a lot.

Helpful context when you're waiting

Instead of a generic "waiting" message, you now get told what you're actually waiting for: the facilitator, a phase transition, or the rest of the group.

Review grouped notes before voting starts

You can expand grouped notes before the voting phase begins, so you know what each group actually contains before deciding where your votes go.

Discussion Stage Improvements

Action items moved where they belong

Action items now sit directly beneath the discussion field instead of being buried below the topic notes. A dismissible banner explains the feature without blocking your workflow. This also lays the groundwork for AI-suggested action items, coming soon for Pro+ subscribers.

Warnings before you skip discussions

The system warns you if you try to advance from discussion without covering every group. Saves you from walking past a topic the team actually voted up.

The discussion field invites you to use it

The discussion field now has enough visual weight to read as the main thing on the stage rather than an afterthought.

Small Fixes

A handful of smaller things: the "View Details" button on recurring theme alerts opens the modal instead of navigating away, and the free tier's team size limit is now enforced on the backend so you can't accidentally overshoot it.

That wraps up the UI simplification work, plus a solid chunk of stability. Most of it came from friction we hit running real sessions with real teams.
