Four days, one new format, and a lot of polish. Here's what changed.

Lean Coffee runs its own flow

Lean Coffee used to borrow the classic retrospective's stages. It has its own now: everyone adds topics, the room votes, and the topics line up in an agenda ordered by the votes they got.

Each topic gets its own timer, started from the discussion board. When the time is up, the room decides whether to keep going or move on. That decision is a vote, and the facilitator commits it. There's a third exit as well: if a conversation has clearly run its course, the facilitator can move on without putting it to a vote.

The whiteboard shows the room which way the discussion is leaning without showing the tally, so nobody votes to agree with whoever voted first. Notes and action items from each topic appear on the board as you write them, formatted the way you wrote them.

Action items reach your tracker

Action items now export to Linear and Jira when the session moves past the point where they're decided, in every format, to whichever team or project you've configured. Nothing to click, and nothing left behind on the formats without a dedicated action items screen.

The AI-written descriptions that come with them are built from your grouped notes, so each issue reads like a summary of the discussion the item came out of rather than a single note pulled from it.

Better fit for multi-category formats

If your format uses more than a couple of note categories, two things got sharper. AI grouping now respects category boundaries, so a "what went well" note stays out of a group about blockers. And session analytics reads each note's category, which makes the sentiment breakdown meaningful whatever format you run.

Note input prompts now show your category's own tagline, without an extra word in front of it.

Smaller things you'll notice

  • The action item editor submits on Enter, with Shift+Enter for a line break, and the title row is cleaner.
  • Note categories on the facilitator input have keyboard shortcuts.
  • The coach bar is there on the Action Items stage, names the stage you're heading into after voting, and follows the reader you picked in the turn tracker.
  • Starting a session from the dashboard shows progress right away.
  • Dragging a note between groups moves it cleanly.
  • The session summary scrolls to the end of its content, and Pro+ teams see the insights their plan includes.

Plus the usual invisible half: a faster, better-indexed marketing site, and a good deal of tooling work behind the scenes.
